This painting was done by well known Native American artist Robert Redbird (1939-2016).  It is acrylic airbrush on paper.  The paper measures 30" x 22.5".  It is signed on the bottom right and also titled on the back, "Her Blue Hat".
Many of Robert Redbird's paintings were done in order to preserve and communicate the Kiowa culture.  He is known for his blanket-wrapped Southern Plains figures and Kiowa folklore.  He painted in several media, but is most well known for his works with an airbrush.  Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry declared June 7, 2003 as "Robert Redbird Day" to celebrate the artist's many creative an humanitarian achievements.
