This auction is for a new-old-stock Ideal Equestrian black leather adjustable carriage driving Shetland size saddle harness crupper. The item has an attached tag that reads IDEAL EQUESTRIAN. MASTER CRAFTSMEN IN SADDLERY-HARNESS. ART NO. HD-9027. SIZE. SHETLAND. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The curved part of the crupper measures roughly 7 1/4” from the tip of the buckle to the butt of the curved end. The long strap measures roughly 41 1/4” in length when fully layed out from the tip of the strap to the beginning of the larger component with the single buckle. The section with the single buckle and forked straps measures roughly 14 1/2” in length. The buckles appear to be made of brass and have what looks like nickel pins. The buckles/pins were not attracted to a magnet when tested. The buckles have wear, scratches, nicks, and areas with oxidation. The crupper weighs roughly 10.3 oz. The leather has shelf wear, manufacturing imperfections, scratches, nicks, dings, scuffs, gouge-type marks, and dusty areas.
